In news on it that we do know is that wests ceo martin bullock will probably become the western tigers ceo & that the side is considering purchasing 4 big names with possible signings maybe being test players Brian Fletcher & Jarrod Mccracken & Newcastle grand final hero from 1997 darren albert . The merger still needs the support from football club members from both clubs but news that i heard is that it will happen

25/6/99    - NO MERGER: the last 24 hours have been a nightmare for tiger supporters like myself with the news in todays telegraph that the balmain & wests boards met for 2 1/2 hours last night& also the news on channel 9 tonight that apparantelybalmain & parramatta are quote "very close" . i have had enough , this week i will write a letter to the telegraph ( & it will be on this page even iuf its printed or not for all to see) i will be attending the july 27 meeting if anybody wants me to ask the board something on thier behalf feel free to email me tige@beer.com - KING TIGERMAN
